The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has suspended the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to 2022.
The mainland show-stopper was initially booked for one year from now in Cameroon yet has now been proceeded onward by a further a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Another key choice taken by the African football body was the delay of the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) to January 2021.

In its stead, CAF is set to present a Women’s Champions League in 2021, while the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup will likewise continue in September.
CAF said the semi-finals of the two rivalries will be played more than one leg rather than home and away apparatuses and will be facilitated in Cameroon and Morocco, separately.
