Edouard Philippe
France’s Prime Minister, Edouard Philippe, 49, and his cabinet resigned. The Élysée Palace announced that, but before the formation of new cabinet, Philippe would remain head of provisional government. No explanation was given for his resignation, as was commonly predicted, in the brief statement released by Emmanuel Macron in his last two years, on Friday, July.

The Élysée statement said: “Mr Édouard Philippe has today handed his resignation from the government to the president of the republic who has accepted it. He will remain, with other members of the government, to deal with current matters until the nomination of a new government.”After Macron ‘s presidential victory in 2017, Philippe, 49, was chosen. He was then member of the Les Républicains (LR) center-right party. Philippe’s resignation is confirmed days after he was re-elected Le Havre mayor by a large majority
