In today’s time, people are growing more and more aware of how important it is to look after themselves, and everyone wants to improve the quality of their lives. 

Because, obviously, everyone wants to be healthy and happy! 

And a not so fun fact is that men actually live shorter than women do. Reasons can be biological or other factors.

So, in this article, let’s focus on what men can do to improve their quality of life, shall we?  

Here’s to all our precious men out there; we got some tips for you.

  1. A healthy, balanced (and not so yummy?) diet

This really applies to all; men or women. 

Whether you are a man or a woman, you need to have a healthy diet. Period. 

Yes, they may not always be delicious like the yummy burgers or pizzas you can eat, but they are right for you!

And to be fair, you can find numerous delicious HEALTHY food as well. They’re not so bad.

Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, seeds, these are your real friends. And they are associated with health benefits for men of all ages! 

Young boys will see a boost in their learning and behavior, whereas men will see an improved chance of conception with their partner, leading to healthier children.

So, to conclude, healthy food is your life-long friend.

  1. Exercising 

Yes, I agree this point applies to all and not only men. But they apply to men, and hence, it’s here!

We all know that improving your health will improve the quality of life?

Since that is established, you know that exercising is CRUCIAL for your health.  You need to start jumping around instead of sitting all the time if you really want that healthy and fit body. 

Sitting for long periods increases the risk of adverse metabolic changes in your body.

So get up and give your body some moving!

A little tip for all the men: boxer briefs are pretty cool for an active day. You can jog, exercise, jump around, and they will give you the comfort that you never thought you will ever have!
On top of that, you can wear it every day too if you wish. It’s comfortable, versatile, functional; what more could you need?

  1. Bond with your friends and family

This is a critical point. 

Loneliness and isolation can affect your wellbeing significantly.

You need to go out there and hang out with your friends and family, have some fun, enjoy, and bond with them, especially men.

Men tend to isolate and distance themselves when they feel low, which is actually not the answer. Having someone to talk to and staying connected with your friends and family is vital and can help you feel better. 

Social isolation is not the answer – which is ironic considering we are in a pandemic, and that’s what we should do. 

But social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t talk or connect with each other. We got Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter for that too!  

So, guys, hit your friends up now.

  1. A good night sleep

It can be hard to get a good night’s sleep, especially when you are stressed.  

And right now, almost everyone is struggling with it due to the pandemic.

Men often sacrifice their sleep due to family and work responsibilities (Kudos to the men out there), leading to severe health problems and negative impacts on your mood and memory.

It can’t be stressed enough how important getting seven hours of RESTFUL sleep is. If you sleep well, your mental and physical health will likely get better. 

Although it can be challenging, start off with making a simple routine and try following it. No one can reach the goal right in the start, it takes consistency and hard work, but you will get there.

  1. Manage your stress

There are many stress and problems in our lives, and it is essential that you are able to manage it properly so that it doesn’t have a significant and negative impact on you.

It does sound hard, and it is hard, but nothing is impossible.

Few ways you can manage your stress are by including meditation in your everyday routine, having a whole timetable planned out for your days, or maybe reaching out to someone if you are struggling. 

  1. Say no to drugs! 

It is easy to head towards drugs, especially in today’s time.

It can get tough considering all the pressure and stress you have on you. But drugs are never right.

Men are more likely to smoke and drink excessive alcohol compared to women.

Instead of going towards drugs, try to manage your stress and do other healthy things that might help you.

Drugs are never the answer! They will not do any good to you; instead, they will harm your health. 

  1. Get your brain active! 

Just like keeping your body active, keeping your brain active is important too.

Now the question is: how can you keep your brain active?

Well, there are numerous ways.

There are so many games that you can play that will really force your brain to think, such as chess, jigsaw puzzles, etc.

Other than that, you can incorporate creatives hobbies in your routine, such as gardening, painting, crafting. 

And another way can be trying new things, no matter how small or big they are, just do it! 

In the end, it will all pay off. 

You will feel fresh, and so will your brain. It’s like exercise for your brain!

So you need to start putting yourself first and start taking care of yourself.

Life can get demanding and stressful, but we believe in you.
