Ghanaians have taken to social media to plead with the president of Ghana, Nana Addo to lock down the country as the covid-19 active cases In Ghana keep increasing.

The president of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo will be having his Covid-19 Update No.23 with the country at exactly 8:00 pm today on measures taken against the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

This will be his 23rd time updating the country regarding the measures taken against the fight of covid-19 since the first case was recorded in March last year.

At exactly 8:00pm today Sunday evening, Nana Akufo Addo will once again enters the homes of Ghanaians to update them on measures taken to contain the deadly coronavirus disease, the question many people are asking is, would the president announce a possible lockdown of the country, since the covid-19 cases are surging.

On the Ghana Health Service website as at Sunday, January 31, 2021, it reported that 65,427 cases have been detected with 55,236 recoveries, 4,665 active cases with 797 new cases, and 405 deaths.

According to the GHS, there are at least 125 severe cases and 44 critically ill persons. No one is on a ventilator at the moment
