The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) together with the leaders and founders of Let’s Tour Ghana launched the club Let’s Tour Ghana on 23rd March, 2021 at the Obetsebi Lamptey Hall.
The Deputy of Operations, Mr. Ekow Sampson and Deputy In Charge of Finance & Administration Mr. Isaac Adomako Mensah expressed their warm heartfelt gratitude towards the initiative and formation of the club “Let’s Tour Ghana ” by the 2021 batch of the National Service (NSS) Personnels.
Mr. Isaac Adomako Mensah added that, it has always been the dream of GTA to have a tourist club in and under the Authority’s name and other regional offices. With the formation of this club by the NSS Personnels, he believes that it is a positive step in the right direction to promote domestic tourism nationwide.
Corporate Affairs Director, Mr. Jones Aruna Nelson also added his voice on the positive impact the formation of the club Let’s Tour Ghana will bring to domestic tourism in Ghana.
Mr. Isaac Kofi Arthur, one of the founding members of the Let’s Tour Ghana club further stated that, the mission and vision of the club is to tour the sixteen (16) regions of Ghana, promote domestic tourism in Ghana and also become one of the leading tourism promotion entities in the country under the wings of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
In addition, he said that this initiative will attract more African Americans from the diaspora into the country and also educate our youth to be more inclined with tourism related activities in their own country and not become strangers on their home soil.
In the concluding part of his speech, he acknowledged how Ghana was happy to welcome back home their very own from the diaspora, world wide wrestling (wwe) entertainment superstar Kofi Kingston and Ghanaian American Actor Boris Kodjoe.
He ended with a special thanksgiving message to Corporate Affairs Director, Mr. Jones Aruna Nelson, Deputy of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kusi Atta Kakra and the Marketing Manager, Madam Roberta – Amoah Dawson for their immense support towards this great initiative.
